The student council at West Islip’s Beach Street Middle School, which includes student-athletes, collected more than 400 toys for the Toys for Tots program during December, guided by advisers Jesse Fawess and Lynnette Fawess. “Everyone at Beach Street is very proud of the council” said Principal Andrew O’Farrell. “It was wonderful to see the generosity of all of our students and staff, bringing joy and happiness to those who are less fortunate during the holiday season.”
